With Rockstar confirming Fall 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, PC players are once again questioning how long they will have to wait.

Historical Rockstar PC Release Windows:

  • **GTA IV:** Consoles in April 2008 → PC in December 2008 (~8 months wait)
  • **GTA V:** Consoles in Sept 2013 → PS4/XBO in Nov 2014 → PC in April 2015 (~19 months wait)
  • **Red Dead Redemption 2:** Consoles in Oct 2018 → PC in Nov 2019 (~13 months wait)
  • Given the sheer scale of the Leonida map, the dual-character memory streaming architecture, and ray-traced global illumination running natively on PC hardware, a 12 to 14 month delay (Fall 2026) is the most probable target.

What do you all think? Will Rockstar surprise us with a shorter window or will they double-dip console then PC?

Take-Two's financial quarters dictate this. They will milk the console holiday 2025 season, announce the PC version around E3/Summer 2026, and ship it Q4 2026 for maximum double-dip revenue. It is practically a clockwork formula.
